ABILENE - Abilene Christian volleyball will host its annual Wildcat Classic and welcome a Southeastern Conference program to Moody Coliseum for the first time ever in 2025, as the Wildcats released their schedule for the fall campaign on Friday.
ACU will receive one final tuneup before the regular season begins with a scrimmage versus Angelo State in Abilene on Aug. 23. It will kick off the season with the Wildcat Classic at Moody Coliseum, taking on Incarnate Word on Aug. 29 in the program's Alumni Match.
On Saturday, Aug. 30, the Wildcats host Oklahoma and Missouri State in a twin bill. The Sooners reached the second round of last season's NCAA Tournament and are the first SEC program to take on ACU in Abilene. Oklahoma previously visited Moody Coliseum in 2022 as a member of the Big 12 Conference.
The Wildcats face the Northwestern State Demons in Abilene on Sept. 3 before hitting the road for a string of six matches. They'll travel to Nacogdoches, Texas for the SFA Volleyball Invitational, meeting former Southland Conference foes Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin at Shelton Gym on Sept. 5. ACU closes the tournament versus Louisiana-Lafayette on Sept. 6.
The Ladyjacks reached the Super 16 of last season's National Invitational Volleyball Championship alongside WAC foe Utah Valley.
The Wildcats then head to Louisiana for three straight games with Southwestern Athletic Conference opponents. They'll play Alabama A&M and Grambling State at Nicholls State's David R. Stopher Gymnasium on Sept. 12 before meeting Arkansas-Pine Bluff at New Orleans' Human Performance Center on Sept. 13.
ACU will take on Tulsa at Moody Coliseum on Sept. 15 before traveling to the Lamar Invitational in Beaumont, Texas. It faces Texas Southern and Cal State Fullerton at McDonald Gym on Sept. 19, then meets the host Cardinals on Sept. 20.
The Wildcats' final match before Western Athletic Conference play begins is at East Texas A&M on Sept. 22. ACU will take a detour from WAC play on Oct. 29 for a nonconference matchup with North Texas in Denton, Texas.
