Back-to-back United Athletic Conference champion Abilene Christian announced its conference schedule for the 2026 football season on Wednesday.
The league will be comprised of seven teams in 2026: ACU, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, North Alabama, Tarleton State, and West Georgia. This will be the third consecutive year for the seven programs to be together in the UAC.
The six-game UAC schedule has each team playing three home and three road games, with all locations flipped from the 2025 season.
The Wildcats begin conference play on Oct. 10, 2026 versus Central Arkansas at Wildcat Stadium. The following Saturday, ACU visits North Alabama which is opening an on-campus stadium in time for the 2026 season.
After a week off from UAC action, the Wildcats host West Georgia on Oct. 31, visit Tarleton State and Austin Peay in back-to-back weeks, and finish the regular season at home with Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 21.
Kickoff times will be announced by each school at a later date.
ACU won the conference in 2024 and 2025, and in that stretch posted a 14-2 record, including a perfect 8-0 mark at Wildcat Stadium.Â
The six-game UAC schedule means each team has the opportunity to play up to six nonconference games with the Football Championship Subdivision now expanding to a 12-game regular season each year.
ACU has already announced three nonconference matchups -- Sept. 5 at Texas Tech, Sept. 12 vs. Stephen F. Austin, and Sept. 19 at Idaho.
Additional nonconference games will be announced at a later date.
