JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The ACU men's tennis team completed its second day of competition on Friday at the Conference Individual Tournament, hosted by North Florida.
ACU entered the day with two singles players in the round of 16:
Dennis Dutiné and
Luis Jose Nakamine. However, neither could advance to the quarterfinals as both were bounced by players from North Alabama, which won the 2025 Atlantic Sun Championship in the spring.
Dutine and Nakamine joined ACU teammates
Tomas Quesada and
Ethan Scribner in the consolation side of the brackets.
The Wildcats' two doubles pairs fared better with both winning matches early Friday and advancing to the semifinals of the west draw (consolation bracket).
The third and final day of play in Jacksonville begins Saturday at 7:30 a.m. CT.
