ACU QB Stone Earle Earns Conference Award

Abilene Christian quarterback Stone Earle was named the United Athletic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Earle's sharp passing and hard running led the Wildcats to a 30-13 victory at then-No. 21 West Georgia this past Saturday. Earle completed 21-of-32 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns. He also set a new career-high with 78 rushing yards on just nine carries.
While ACU's offense only produced one explosive play -- a 25-yard scramble by Earle -- it was 'death by a thousand paper cuts' which did in the Wolves as Earle sliced and diced up the UWG defense. Earle consistently monitored the field, checking to his second or third read and taking the smart throw to extend ACU drives. On the Wildcats' 19-play, 94-yard drive which sealed the win, Earle was 6-for-8 passing for 60 yards, and also had 13 yards rushing. Four of his completions were on third downs to move the chains and score a touchdown. He also converted a fifth third down with an 8-yard run.
During the game, Earle reached multiple career milestones. He surpassed the 3,000-yard passing mark in his 16 games at ACU, the 4,000-yard mark for his overall college career, and now has 40 career touchdowns through the air.
This is Earle's second conference weekly award in 2025. He also took the prize after the Wildcats dispatched Austin Peay on Sept. 20 behind 399 total yards and 6 scores from the sixth-year senior from Ft. Worth.
ACU, which climbed to No. 13 in this week's FCS Stats Perform Top 25, is now 4-3 overall and 3-0 in the UAC. The Wildcats play Southern Utah (1-5, 0-2) on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. CT in Cedar City, Utah, before coming home to face fellow conference front-runner Tarleton State on Nov. 1 at 3 p.m.
Tickets for the Homecoming game against the Texans are still available, but expected to sell out so fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets today!
