This Week in ACU Women's Tennis

ABILENE – Abilene Christian begins Western Athletic Conference action this week with matches at UT Arlington and UT Rio Grande Valley.

The Wildcats are 3-9 after a 4-0 win over Sam Houston last weekend. Olivia Sears, Maryjoe Crisologo and Masha Vrsalovic won singles matches in that victory. ACU got the doubles point with wins by Vrsalovic and Maria Cascos at No. 1 and Andrea Guerrero and Sears at No. 3.
 
Guerrero leads ACU with six singles wins this spring.
 
UTA is 10-4 this season after a 4-0 win over No. 70 UTSA on Saturday. Mariana Manyoma-Valasquez is 11-1 in singles for the Mavericks this spring.
 
UTRGV comes in at 8-6 and on a three-match win streak. The Vaqueros host Tarleton State on Friday and are coming off a 4-2 win against Lamar. Marjorie Souza is 9-3 in singles this spring, including an 8-2 mark at No. 1.
