ABILENE – Abilene Christian completed a successful first home weekend with a 6-1 win on Sunday over Texas-Permian Basin.
ACU got the doubles points with victories at No. 2 by
Andrea Guerrero and
Masha Vrsalovic and at No. 3 by
Libby Blair and
Eva Arranz.
Olivia Sears got a quick victory with a pair of 6-0 wins in singles with Guerrero, Vrsalovic, Blair and Arranz also capturing straight-set wins.
"I'm happy to get out of here with two wins but we have to play better," said ACU Head Coach
Bryan Rainwater.
The Wildcats return to action in Albuquerque next weekend, taking on Northern Arizona on Saturday and New Mexico on Sunday.
