Madden Earns WAC Player of the Week Award

ACU senior Hunter Jack Madden had one of his best scoring games as a Wildcat and has been rewarded as the WAC Player of the Week.
In last Wednesday's 78-70 win at New Mexico State, Madden dropped in 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 5-of-8 from behind the arc.
Madden also made all 7 free throw attempts.
The performance set a new season-high for points and is second the second most Madden has scored during his two-plus seasons at ACU. He poured in 27 points in a road win over UTRGV in February 2024.
This is the first weekly conference award for an ACU player since Leonardo Bettiol was named WAC Freshman of the Week on January 30, 2023.
ACU is 6-3 this season, and visits No. 15 Baylor on Monday at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network and 101.7 FM The Patriot.
This is the first regular season game between the Wildcats and Bears since 1972.
