ABILENE – ACU sophomore guard Payton Hull has been named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Player of the Week after a stellar performance in three victories last week, helping extend the Wildcats' winning streak to eight games—the 12th-longest active streak in NCAA Division I.
Hull showcased her offensive firepower, averaging 21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game across the three contests. Her shooting efficiency was remarkable, hitting 47% (22-47) from the field, 50% (13-26) from beyond the arc, and 88% (7-8) at the free-throw line.
In Saturday's thrilling win at New Mexico, Hull tied her season-high with 29 points while setting a new season-best with six made three-pointers, the second-highest total of her career.
Hull's consistency and leadership have been instrumental in ACU's success this season, as the Wildcats continue to climb the standings with their start of WAC play in January.
