Cats Finish Strong in New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Abilene Christian won four singles and three doubles matches on Sunday to finish off the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational.
 
The tandems of Masha Vrsalovic and Hebe Toyos and Olivia Sears and Libby Blair scored easy doubles wins while Maryjoe Crisologo and Maria Cascos battled to a 9-8 victory.
 
Toyos, Sears, Crisologo and Andrea Guerrero also recorded singles wins.
 
"We had a great tournament overall in singles," said ACU Head Coach Bryan Rainwater. "We will get back to work in doubles but it is still very early in the season. I am extremely pleased with the effort this weekend. I am excited to see where this team can get to in the spring. Go Cats!"
 
ACU returns to action Sept. 29 when they host the ACU Invite.
