Morgan Makes Minor League Debut

ABILENE – Abilene Christian baseball alum Tyler Morgan made his professional debut on Wednesday, tossing a pair of no-hit innings for the Fort Wayne Tincaps.
Pitching against the Great Lakes Loons, Morgan pitched a scoreless second and third inning while striking out one and walking one. He used 37 pitches, facing seven batters.
Morgan was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 14th round earlier this summer and was able to bypass the Low-A level. Other minor league affiliates of the Padres are the San Antonio Missions (AA) and El Paso Chihuahuas (AAA).
"It was great to see Tyler have a very successful debut last night in Fort Wayne," said ACU Head Coach Rick McCarty. "Hopefully, this is the first of many milestones he will have an opportunity to experience along his climb to the big leagues. He knows that everyone connected to our program will be pulling for him each step of the way!"
Logan Britt (Los Angeles Angels), Riley Bauman (Angels) and Brett Eichelberger (Padres) are all preparing for their debut in their respective spring training complexes.
