ABILENE – Eva Arranz was a bright spot in an otherwise rough day for Abilene Christian in its 6-21 loss to Grand Canyon.
Arranz and doubles partner
Andrea Guerrero picked up the lone ACU doubles win, 6-4. Arranz then got the lone singles win by the Wildcats, rallying from down a set for a 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-5 win over Hebe Toyos.
"It was a tough day," said ACU Head Coach Bryan Rainwater.
It was the final home match of the season for the Wildcats, who finish off the regular season with a westward trip to Utah Tech on Friday and Seattle on Sunday.
The Cats are 9-12 overall and 3-4 in the WAC and can wrap up a postseason berth with a win next week.
