TULSA – Abilene Christian couldn't recover from a slow start in doubles and lost 7-0 at Tulsa on Saturday.
Olivia Sears bumped up to second singles for Saturday and lost a tough battle, 6-5, 7-6 (7-5).
Eva Arranz pushed hard early in line six, but fell, 7-5, 6-1.
"We just came out flat in doubles and maybe we were a little shell-shocked but then we started fighting back," said ACU Head Coach Bryan Rainwater. "We were in tight singles matches at 1, 2, 4 and 6 but we kind of let it slip. We'll get some extra work in this week because we've got two more teams like Tulsa coming up."
The Wildcats at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 13 before opening the WAC schedule at home March 17 against Texas-Arlington.
