ABILENE – Abilene Christian hosts its first men's tennis match on Friday after nearly three weeks of road work, taking on Lamar at 2 p.m. at the Eager Tennis Pavilion.

The match is ACU's Purple event with all Wildcat student-athletes especially invited to attend.

ACU is 8-6 this season with
Cesar Barranquero and
Savan Chhabra leading the team with matching 6-3 records in singles. Barranquero and
Dario Kmet are ranked 49
th in doubles and own a 6-0 record but injuries have limited the pair's ability to work as a tandem.

Lamar is 7-6 on the season with a match at Texas A&M slated for Thursday. Max Amling leads Lamar at 6-3 in singles with all but one of those wins coming as the No. 1 entrant. Amling and Filippo Salsini are 7-2 as doubles partners, largely on the first line.
