ACU Runs at South Central Regional Friday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian sends 16 athletes to Friday's South Central Cross Country Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Friday.
The women's six-kilometer race begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the men's 10-kilometers at 11:30 a.m. at the University of Arkansas' Agri Park.
The Wildcat men are coming off of an eighth-place finish in the WAC Championship while the women's team finished ninth.
ACU's men will be represented by Kevin Castruita, Gabe Emree, Mikhail Fortner, Samuel Lanham, Zach Martin, Jacob Russell, Garrison Shindler and O'Brien Verdin.
Castruita has led the ACU contingent in all five races this season and Lanham has joined him in the scoring five all season, the last three times as the second Wildcat to finish. Embree, Martin, Shindler and Verdin have contributed to the final score three times each. Fortner has been in the top five twice and Russell once.
Peyton Bornstein, Katelyn Coldicott, Bella Evans, Kate Hansen, Tessa Holderman, Hadley Phillips, Autumn Smith and Kate Williams represent the Wildcats in the women's race.
Three different ACU women have led the Cats this season. Coldicott has been the top Cat for the past two races, Bornstein had the honors in the first two races and Holderman had the top spot in the third race of the season.
Bornstein, Coldicott and Holderman have been in the scoring five in each race this season with Evans scoring in all but one of the five.
Williams was in the top five three times, Hansen twice and Smith once.
