ABILENE – The Abilene Christian Department of Athletics in partnership with ACU TV has announced that ESPN will be the platform for 16 total home football, volleyball, and soccer broadcasts this fall. ACU and ACU TV will partner to produce the games for ESPN+, with the remaining to air on the WAC Digital Network and still being broadcast by ACU Athletics.
"Our partnership with ACU TV continues to allow us to put together one of the best productions in the WAC, and we add more to that slate every year," Assistant AD for Communications
Jordan Herrod said. "We want to make sure that we are reaching as many fans as possible, and we are excited to announce this schedule of games that fans across the nation will enjoy."
ACU TV's
Hutton Harris will serve as the producer and director for all the ESPN games, while athletics media relations coordinator
Zach Carlyle will serve as the lead play-by-play announcer at most of the events. ACU TV's student-run crew will be in charge of the entire ESPN production, including camera operations, replay, in-game analysts, sideline reporters, etc.
ESPN+ is a subscription streaming service ($6.99/month) that streams live sports, original content, the full 30 for 30 library, and more. It also houses all full game replays in the library as well. It is available on all mobile devices, tablets, and any smart TV.
The WAC Digital Network is free for fans, and will house the home events that do not make it to ESPN's air. Every home game in Abilene will be housed in one of these two locations.
