COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Wildcats had three players register a multi-hit game, but they struggled to score runs as they dropped game two of their series with the Aggies, 9-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Texas A&M got out to the early lead scoring four runs in the bottom of the first.
- The Wildcats loaded the bases in the top of the second but were unable to bring a run home, the Aggies added two more runs in the bottom of the inning.
- ACU had runners on second and third with no outs in the top of the third and Riley White scored on a wild pitch.
- TAMU scored one run in the third and another two in the fourth to go up 9-1 and hold on for the win in five innings.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Calie Burris, Mercedes Eichelberger, and Rose Gonzales each went 2-3 on the day. Burris and Miranda Lista each had a double on the afternoon as well.
- The Wildcats outhit the Aggies, 8-6, but nine walks allowed and three errors by ACU kept Texas A&M on the basepaths.
- Burris leads the Wildcats with 11 multi-hit games on the year.

- The Wildcats and Aggies will complete their weekend series tomorrow afternoon at 12 p.m. on SEC Network+.
