STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Offense did not come easy for the Wildcats on Friday night as they struggle to put up runs in their doubleheader against Tarleton. While the team put up 14 hits on the night, the team scored just two runs over the two games.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game 1
- The Texans put up a single run in the third and added another run in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead.
- Riley White launched a solo homerun in the sixth to tally the Wildcats lone run.
Game 2
- Tarleton jumped out to the early lead in game two, plating two runs after a fielding error by the Wildcats in the first inning.
- The Texans added a third run in the inning on an RBI double to take a 3-0 lead.
- Tarleton would tack on another run in the fourth inning to go up 4-0.
- Sydney Kaiser drove in the Wildcats run in the sixth with an RBI double.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Sydney Kaiser went 2-3 in each of the games for her seventh and eighth multi-hit games of the season.
- Riley White's homerun in game one was the first of her career as a Wildcat.
- Laurén Schiek got her fourth start of the season in game two, she moves to 0-2 on the year.
ON DECK:
- The Wildcats are back in action tomorrow at 1 p.m. to close out the three-game series with Tarleton.
