ABILENE, Texas – It was a low-scoring affair on Friday night as the Wildcats opened the three-game series against Tarleton with a 3-0 victory. It only took one inning of damage for Abilene Christian to take the lead and the team held on to hand the Texans their first WAC loss of the season.

- Mercedes Eichelberger drew a bases-loaded walk to earn an RBI and push the lead to 3-0.
- Sidney Holman-Mansell would fan six batters over the last five innings to complete the shutout performance.
