MANHATTAN, Kan. — Abilene Christian faced off against their second purple-clad Wildcats team of the season on Tuesday night falling, 81-64, to Kansas State. ACU got out to a hot start and led by as many as 14 points in the first half before K-State slowly chipped away at the lead to take a 35-34 lead at halftime. K-State got their defense going in the second half and used a flurry of fastbreak opportunities to stretch their lead to double digits withing the first five minutes of the second half. Each time ACU had a chance to turn momentum in their favor K-State had an answer on their way to the 17-point win.
Key Plays
- Immanuel Allen hit a three on the Wildcats' second possession of the game to put ACU up 3-2.
- Ja'Sean Jackson hit ACU's third three of the night just over four minutes into the game to take an 11-6 lead.
- ACU used a 10-0 run to turn an 11-10 lead into a 21-10 lead capped by a jumper from Allen to give him eight early points.
- Airion Simmons converted a jumper in the paint at the 9:08 mark of the first half that put ACU up 28-14 for their largest lead of the game.
- K-State responded with a 14-2 run to get within two points with 4:45 to play in the first half.
- Tobias Cameron hit the Wildcats' lone three of the second half at the 18:12 mark to get ACU back within one, 40-39.
- Kansas State missed a three at the 16-minute mark but got the offense rebound and connected on a three to push their lead to six points and shift the momentum fully in their favor.
- A steal for K-State at the 8:31 mark led to a fastbreak dunk that put them up 13 points, tying their largest lead of the night.

- K-State had the advantage inside outscoring ACU 52-30 in the paint.
- After shooting 46 percent from three in the first half, the Wildcats went just 1-6 from deep in the second half.
