ABILENE -- Abilene Christian golf visits the 'Natural State' of Arkansas for the second consecutive week Monday as the Wildcats compete against 13 schools at the annual Little Rock Invitational hosted by the Chenal Country Club.
The Founder's Course is Par-72 and covers 7,115 yards. Teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 holes Tuesday
This year's field includes teams from Arkansas State, ULM, South Alabama, Lamar, Little Rock, Texas State, Louisiana Tech, Southern Mississippi, Louisiana, UT Arlington, Central Arkansas, Southern Illinois and Missouri State. Arkansas State, which won its home tournament last week over Texas State and ACU, is the highest ranked team at No. 55.
Representing the Purple and White in the Arkansas state capitol are Brian Choe, Francisco Osio, Alex Clouse, Charlie Jackson, Jake Bay and Daniel Seibert, who will be making his 2020 debut. Choe, Clouse and Jackson are the only Wildcats to compete at all three tournaments this fall.
All six Wildcats will tee off at 8 a.m. on holes 12A and 12B.
Osio was ACU's clubhouse leader last week at the Bubba Barnett Invitational hosted by Arkansas State. Osio last Tuesday carded a 1-under 71 during the third and final round to finish at even par (216) and tie for ninth place in a 63-competitor field.
Abilene Christian placed third as a team of nine schools with rounds of 282-296-296 (10-over par).
In their first event of the fall, the Wildcats were led by Choe who finished tied for seventh place with a 2-under 214 at September's Jim Rivers Intercollegiate hosted by Louisiana Tech. The Wildcats placed eighth as a team at 11-over 875 (296, 287, 292).
Wildcat legend Alex Carpenter won the 2013 Little Rock Invitational with a 2-over 218 for his 19th (of 20) collegiate career victories. Carpenter and his brothers, Adam and Luke, along with former Wildcat Corbin Renner are all Little Rock natives and graduates of Arkansas Baptist High School.
