Golf Opens Spring with Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate

MOBILE, Ala. – The ACU golf team opens the 2019 spring campaign this week at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate hosted by the University of South Alabama. The tournament will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 11-12 at the Magnolia Grove Crossing Course, with play getting underway at 8 a.m. with 36 holes. The final 18 holes also will feature a shotgun start Tuesday at 8 a.m.
THE COURSE… The Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course is par-72, 7,212-yard layout. The Wildcats will play shotgun starts at 8 a.m. ACU has played in this tournament over the last couple of seasons, and with a young lineup, looks to get its spring off to a good start.
THE FIELD... ACU, Florida State, Illinois State, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Louisiana, Louisville, Nicholls, North Alabama, Oral Roberts, Richmond, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi, Texas State, Western Kentucky.
ACU LINEUP… The Wildcats will go with a lineup consisting of senior Garrett Glanton, sophomores Alex Clouse, Chase Allison, and Daniel Seibert, and freshman Francisco Osio.
HEAD COACH TOM SHAW… "It's a chance to head a little further south with all the crazy weather that has happened. We are looking forward to it. We are deeper than we used to be. It's one of the youngest lineups we've ever had. Garrett is our constant, but with our youth, we are more talented than we've ever been. I'm excited to see some of the guys take advantage of this opportunity this spring."
