Golf Wraps Trinity Forest Invitational

DALLAS, Texas - The Wildcat golf team wrapped up the 2nd annual Trinity Forest Invitational at the Trinity Forest Golf Course hosted by SMU. ACU placed 13th as a team in the tournament after 54 holes with a score of 871, good for 19-over par.
The three-day total included a 288 on Sunday, 297 on Monday, and a 286 on Tuesday.
The Baylor Bears won the tournament at -28 as a team (824), and held on by a stroke over the host Mustangs from SMU, who finished with an 825 (-27). The two schools had a comfortable lead for the top two slots as the College of Charleston (833, -19) placed third and Florida (834, -18) placed fourth.
Alex Clouse finished tied for 21st on the individual leaderboard, with a three-day total of 212 (-1). The sophomore carded scores of 73, 72, and 67. The 67 on Tuesday was two strokes off the top mark for the day.
Bryce Dooley tied for 45th overall (+4) with a 217, while Chase Allison and Garrett Glanton matched each other with a 221 (+8), and tied for 64th overall. Kade Miller (230) and Francisco Osio (232) rounded out the individual board for ACU.
North Texas' Thomas Rosenmueller carded a 200 (-13) to win the individual title, with scores of 66, 66, and 68. Little Rock's Justin Warren finished two strokes out (202, -11) with cards of 64, 66, and 72.
ACU will have some time off before heading to the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate tournament on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 15-16. Lousiana Tech hosts the tournament at Squire Creek Golf Course in Ruston, La.
