Golf Heads to Louisiana for Jim Rivers Intercollegiate

ABILENE – The ACU golf team heads to Ruston, La. for its third meet of the 2018 fall season, partaking in the 14th Annual Jim Rivers Intercollegiate hosted by Louisiana Tech from Monday to Tuesday, Oct. 15-16. The tournament will take place at the Squire Creek Country Club, with 36 holes being played Monday, and 18 more holes being played Tuesday. Both days events get underway at 8 a.m.
THE COURSE… The Squire Creek Country Club course is par-72, 7,070 yard layout. The Wildcats will play shotgun starts at 8 a.m.
THE FIELD… ACU, Central Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia, Southern Miss, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, New Orleans, Nicholls, Oklahoma City, Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, Troy, and UAB.
ACU LINEUP… The Wildcats will go with a lineup consisting of senior Garrett Glanton, junior Bryce Dooley, sophomores Alex Clouse and Chase Allison, and freshman Francisco Osio.
A GLANCE IN THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR… ACU wrapped up the 2nd annual Trinity Forest Invitational at the Trinity Forest Golf Course hosted by SMU back in late September. ACU placed 13th as a team in the tournament after 54 holes with a score of 871, good for 19-over par. The three-day total included a 288 on Sunday, 297 on Monday, and a 286 on Tuesday. Clouse finished tied for 21st on the individual leaderboard, with a three-day total of 212 (-1). The sophomore carded scores of 73, 72, and 67. The 67 on Tuesday was two strokes off the top mark for the day.
