Wildcats Place Ninth at Falcon Invitational

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Wildcat golf team wrapped up the 50th annual Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the Eisenhower Golf Club over the weekend. ACU placed ninth as a team in the 16-team tournament after 54 holes with a score of 876, good for 12-over par.
The three-day total included a 289 on Friday, 292 on Saturday, and a 295 on Sunday. ACU was tied for seventh after the first two days, but Missouri State and Weber State each rallied with lower scores Sunday to move up the leaderboard.
The Colorado Buffaloes won the tournament at -9 as a team (855), and held a five-stroke advantage over second-place Wyoming (860). UC Davis (861) placed third, while the host Air Force (862) rounded out the top four.
Alex Clouse finished tied for fifth on the individual leaderboard, with a three-day total of 212 (-4). The highlight was a -4 day-two 68, and despite a +2 74 on Sunday, the sophomore led the team throughout the weekend. Garrett Glanton lept his way up the board the rest of the weekend, finishing tied for 25th overall. The senior was tied for 63rd after round one, but a 69 on the final day moved him up to place second on the team.
Chase Allison tied for 50th overall with a three-day total of 223 (72-74-77), while Daniel Seibert and Bryce Dooley each carded a 228, tying for 72nd place individually.
Colorado's Daniel O'Loughlin stayed under par all weekend to win the individual honors, carding a 209, good for seven-under par. New Mexico State's Tadhg Campbell placed second (210), while teammate Mike McGliton matched Northern Colorado's Coby Welch for third place (211).
ACU will head to the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas for a three-day tournament from Sunday to Tuesday, Sept. 23-25. SMU is the host school, and the tournament will take place at the Trinity Forest Golf Course.
