ABILENE – Abilene Christian soccer travels to Odessa Tuesday to take on its old DII rivals from Texas Permian Basin at 6 p.m. The match was added to keep the Wildcats sharp before heading to Oral Roberts (Friday) and Oklahoma State (Sunday), as both of last weekend's matches at Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern were washed out due to Hurricane Harvey.
Against the Falcons: The Wildcats and Falcons have played four times before Tuesday's meeting. ACU holds the all-time record at 4-0, with one contest going into double overtime in 2009. The last meeting between the two came in 2010 when ACU beat UTPB 3-0. The first matchup was in 2007 (3-0 ACU).
Coach's Quote: "We appreciate the opportunity to get to play tomorrow in Odessa," head coach
Casey Wilson said. "Getting out of our routine can be tough and we need to keep playing games. Our goal is to continue to work on things that make us a better team as we head into conference play in a couple weeks."
