ACU announces ticket giveback plan for Wildcat Stadium

ABILENE – ACU deputy director of athletics Dave Kinard announced Wednesday afternoon that ACU Athletics has instituted a Ticket Giveback Plan to ensure that unused season or single-game tickets that have already been purchased are still utilized during the remainder of the 2017 season.
ACU opened Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium last week, and it was a rousing success. A sellout crowd of 12,000 fans watched the Wildcats win the grand opening game, 24-3 over Southland Conference foe Houston Baptist. ACU will be back at Wildcat Stadium this Saturday at 6 p.m. when it hosts Stephen F. Austin in another Southland Conference contest.
Fans who have already purchased season tickets or single-game tickets and won't be able to use them for Saturday's game are encouraged to email their name and the specific information of the tickets they won't be using (section, row and seat) to tickets@acu.edu by noon Thursday (Sept. 21) so they can be donated to fans that want to attend the game.
"The atmosphere at the stadium last Saturday for the opener was electric, and we want to maintain that type of home field advantage throughout the rest of the season," Kinard said. "We understand that a sizable portion of our season-ticket base lives out of town and might not be able to make it to every game. But this giveback plan allows us to provide fans in Abilene the chance to get into the stadium and watch the Wildcats from, in certain cases, some of the best seats in the house."
The Ticket Giveback Plan will be in place for the final four home games of the season: Saturday vs. Stephen F. Austin, Oct. 7 vs. McNeese, Oct. 21 vs. Southeastern Louisiana, and Nov. 11 vs. Sam Houston State. However, after this week, the deadline for giving back the tickets is one week prior to the game.
Other Ticketing Notes: A limited number of tickets are still available for Saturday night's game in sections 105 and 107, both of which have benchback seating. Tickets for reserved seats in those sections are $30 each for 1-14 tickets and $18 apiece for 15 or more tickets. Including these seats, less than 500 tickets remain for this important Southland Conference matchup.
Tickets in those two sections can be purchased via acusports.com/wctickets.
How to Watch Saturday's Game: If you can't make it to Abilene for Saturday night's game, the ACU-Stephen F. Austin game will be streamed on ACU's website (acusports.com) at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/abilene/ with Grant Boone and Jim Reese calling the action for both the radio (98.1 FM) and the webcast.
