Q: What is it about ACU that made you want to be a Wildcat?
A: There were a lot of things that made me want to be a Wildcat! The campus is beautiful, everyone is nice and friendly, and the environment just feels positive overall. But the thing that really made me want to come to ACU was the women's basketball team. When I came on my visit and hung out with the coaches and my now teammates I knew this is where I wanted to spend my next four years. They made me feel like I was already a part of the team and were so loving and generous that I instantly committed.

Q: You're one of three freshmen on the team from San Antonio. Tell us about that connection.

 Wildcats Josie Larson and Adams
were teammates at
San Antonio Johnson High School.

A: I actually went to school with Josie Larson (one of my best friends) since middle school. In high school, we were two of the few freshman in the upperclassmen basketball period so we instantly bonded. From there we started hanging out, got to be close friends and planned to go to college together. God made it work from there! Makayla Mabry and I always played against each other in middle school. We officially met when we were both playing travel ball for the same team, San Antonio's Finest. We started talking more, became really good friends and ended up at ACU together!

Q: You have a few weeks of basketball practice and weight lifting under your belt. How are your workouts at this level different than what you did in high school?

A: The workouts are more frequent than in high school where we would only go to the weight room in the off-season. The drills are intense and everyone gives their absolute best which only makes me want to work harder for my team.

Q: The team just wrapped up it's fifth summer basketball camp. How did you like "coaching" for two weeks?
A: I loved coaching the camps! It was fun to meet all the kids and have them tell you their best ACU moments and how much they love ACU!

Q: What is a piece of advice or encouragement from your parents that you are carrying with you as you begin your college career?
A: "Time to do you and make us proud." This was the last thing my parents said to me when they dropped me off college and I just want to make them proud.
