ABILENE – Abilene Christian tennis continued its winning ways against its longtime rivals from Incarnate Word Friday as the Wildcats posted a men's and women's doubleheader sweep of the Cardinals at the Eager Tennis Center. The women won 6-1 and the men were 5-2 victors in extending their DI winning streaks against UIW to a fourth-consecutive season.
On the women's side, the doubles tandems of
Lucile Pothier and
Whitney Williams and
Autumn Crossnoe and
Jordan Henry each improved to 5-0 this spring against Southland Conference opposition with their wins at the No. 1 and 3 positions. Crossnoe and Henry were first off the courts with a 6-1 triumph at No. 3, and Pothier and Williams soon followed with a 6-3 win that pushed their overall winning streak to eight matches.
The Wildcats sped through the Cardinals in singles play as well with their lone defeat coming at the No. 1 position where Matea Zemunik held off senior

Sarah Eleanor Adams each pitched a shutout in at least one set.
Adams remains ACU's leader with 18 singles victories followed by Williams and Henry with 16. Henry has won her last six decisions.
