Q: Give us your highlight reel from Summer '16...
A: "This summer was definitely one for the books! After we spent six weeks of June and July in Abilene, I got to go home for a few weeks and spend time with my family. My dad, my mom, my two younger brothers and I went down to Canyon Lake, which is about an hour outside of San Antonio. We got to visit the Alamo, walk the Riverwalk, go swimming and shopping. Then after those few short weeks I came back to Abilene to get ready for our trip to Canada. I loved being able to go on that trip with my team because I was able to grow chemistry with everyone, especially my new teammates!"
Q: What things are you most looking forward to in your sophomore year at ACU?
A: "One of the main things I'm excited about this year is going after another Southland Conference championship! Also, I look forward to being able to further my academic studies as a nursing major."
Q: If you could give the ACU Class of 2020 one piece of advice going into their freshman year, what would it be?
A: "I would tell the freshmen not be nervous about anything. Things might get overwhelming and seem really hard at some times, but it gets better. You'll adapt to life as a college student quicker than you think, and things will get easier."
Q: What challenges did Coach Goodenough issue you after last season ended? In what areas of your game have you focused on improvement?
A: "My biggest strength is my 3-point shooting and so far that has been my biggest contribution to our team's success. This year I plan to get better in other areas. Since last season, I have focused on improving my defense and rebounding. And I've also worked really hard on my low post play so I can score more consistently down low."
