ABILENE - The Abilene Christian softball team concludes the tournament portion of its 2015 season this weekend with a stop in Jacksonville, Fla., for the Dolphin Classic. The Wildcats opponents over the next three days include Campbell (6-5), Savannah State (2-4), Cleveland State (5-3) and the host Dolphins (7-9).
All five of ACU's games at the Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex will have

The Wildcats play a doubleheader vs. Campbell and Jacksonville Friday starting at 11:30 a.m. CT, and on Saturday they will battle Savannah State and Cleveland State beginning at 8 a.m. They'll face the Camels of Campbell one last time Sunday at 9 a.m. CT.
The Wildcats slipped to 3-8 on the season after losing four games - three to nationally ranked opponents - at the Baylor Invitational. ACU was edged by North Texas, 3-2, in its first game and lost by only two runs to the No. 6 Bears during last Saturday night's tournament finale in front of 1,055 spectators.
In between ACU lost a back-to-back run-rule decisions to No. 2 Oregon, 8-0, and the defending Conference USA Champions from Tulsa, 10-0.
Freshman shortstop
Peyton Hedrick led the Wildcats at the plate in Waco, going 5-for-10 with three doubles, a walk, run and RBI. Rookie
Alyson Bishoff homered for the Wildcats as part of a 2-for-7 (.286) weekend, while sophomore
Taylor Brown hit .273 with a triple and a run scored.
Hedrick's efforts pushed her to fourth in the Southland Conference rankings with a .455 batting average. She also ranks among the top-10 leaders in slugging percentage (.697), on-base percentage (.486) and doubles (5).
ACU senior
Emily Seidel tossed more innings than any other pitcher at the tournament with 20.2, striking out six to give her 35 on the season. Seidel's strikeout and innings pitched totals (51.1) rank her second in the Southland Conference.
