ABILENE - Abilene Christian's women's soccer team brings a two-match winning streak into this weekend's matches at North Texas and TCU. Both matches mark the Wildcats' first meeting with either school and each will kick off at 7 p.m.

The Wildcats evened their season record at 2-2 last weekend after following a 3-0 home win over Wayland Baptist with a 2-1 overtime result at Texas Wesleyan. Freshman
Baylee Mitchell provided the golden goal and was the last of five Wildcats with a score last weekend, joining
Sarah Schoch,
Taylor Brown,
Madison Brown and
Lindsey Jones.
Rookie
Chloe Fifer was credited with the assist on Mitchell's goal, while Jones' equalizer against the Rams in the 59th minute was assisted by
Emily Sumrall.
Defensively, the Wildcats surrendered just six shots to the Pioneers and nine to Texas Wesleyan, only three of which came after halftime. Sophomore goalkeeper
Sydney Newton had a combined six saves and enters the weekend with a 0.72 GAA.
The Mean Green of North Texas are off to a 3-0 start with consecutive shutout victories against Texas Southern, Oregon State and the Southland Conference's Lamar. North Texas is allowing just 7.7 shots per game and goalkeeper Jackie Kerestine has eight saves through 258:35 minutes of competitions.
The Mean Green won 14 matches last season and just missed reaching the NCAA Tournament after falling in the Conference USA title game to Colorado College.
The Horned Frogs, meanwhile, are looking to rebound from last year's six-win campaign and seventh-place showing in the Big 12. But so far, TCU is 1-3 with losses coming against Washington State, Missouri and Central Florida. The Horned Frogs lone win was a 2-0 decision at Idaho, and they'll play host to LSU Friday before welcoming the Wildcats.
