ABILENE -- The ACU Wildcats split a pair of matches Saturday at the ACU Indoor Invitational as the 11th-ranked Wildcats beat Trinity before losing to Oklahoma Christian.
The Wildcats (1-1) will be back in action late next week when they go on a road trip to Kentucky and Tennessee where they will play five matches in a span of three days. Their first two matches will be Thursday agianst Southern Indiana and Murray Sate in Murray, Ky.
ACU opened Saturday's play with a 6-3 win over the Tigers of Trinity University, ranked No. 9 in NCAA Division III men's tennis team. The 11th-ranked Wildcats fell behind 2-1 after doubles play, but won five of six singles matches to pull out the victory.

Hans Hach knocked off Aaron Skinner at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2, to get the Wildcats' roll started.
Alfredo Desiati won at No. 2 singles, followed by Borja Cortes at No. 3,
Guilherme Gesser at No. 4 and
Marco Bensley at No. 6.
The Wildcats dropped a 7-2 decision to 2012 NAIA Champions Oklahoma Christian, which is in its first year of the NCAA D-II membership process. OCU won two of three doubles matches with the Wildcats' only win coming at No. 1 where Hach and Cortes -- the No. 3-ranked team in NCAA Division II men's tennis -- knocked off OCU's duo of Bruno Tiberti and Martin Poboril, 8-2.
The Eagles then ripped off five wins in singles play to take the win. ACU's only win in singles play came at No. 3 where Gesser beat Josip Smoljan, 3-6, 6-3 (12-10).
