Wildcats Fall At Angelo State, 1-0

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS - A goal at the start of the 80th minute by Angelo State's Katie Squires served as the game-winner in the Rambelles' 1-0 win over Abilene Christian Sunday afternoon.

Squires' goal was her second of the year and was assisted by Hanna Horels.

The Wildcats were held to eight shots and couldn't get any off in the final 20 minutes, although they were presented a corner kick opportunity with three minutes left in regulation.

Angelo State (3-2-1, 1-0-1 LSC) fired 10 shots and had seven stopped by ACU goalkeeper Arielle Moncure. Squires led her team with three shots and placed two on goal.

Sophomore Sarah Schoch paced ACU's offense with three shots, two of which were saved by Danielle Edwards, while Julie Coppedge had two.

The Wildcats (2-4, 0-2 LSC) will look to snap their two-match losing streak next Friday at home vs. Eastern New Mexico.
