STORYLINES
LAST TIME OUT
With only one game this week ACU soccer finished 1-0 with a victory over St.Mary's Rattlers. The Wildcats got goals Andrea Carpenter who was one shy of a hat trick with two goals. The other three goals came from Jacey Ferrera and Courtney Wilson while reserve Roxy Marsh picked up her first goal of her young collegiate career.
OFFENSIVE STARTS
After struggling on offense last two seasons ACU has outscored its opponents 10-0 this season in just three games.  The Wildcats have also scored  almost half as many goals as all of last year in 19 games (23 total goals).
QUICK STARTS
After missing the 2009 season Ashley Holton wasted little time in her first ACU start scoring two goals in a season opening win at Colorado-Colorado Springs. Freshmen Andrea Carpenter followed suit with Holton recording an assist on the season's first goal as well as scoring a goal of her own in each of the first two games.
NADDA TO NILL
With six shutouts a season ago the Wildcats already have three in their first three games. After losing all-LSC goalie Crissy Lawson the Wildcats have quickly found their new keeper Elliott London has 16 saves in 207 minutes of work.
KEEPER OF THE WEEK
London also received the first weekly LSC honors for the Wildcats on Wednesday. She helped move her record and the Wildcats to 2-0 in the soccer's opening weekend. London got the start in both victories recording 12 saves over the weekend including eight crucial saves in a win over CSU-Pueblo. Recording all but 17 minutes in the opener at UC-Colorado Springs, London got credit for the second shutout on Saturday in a 2-0 win over CSU-Pueblo.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats will finish off the non-conference portion of their schedule as the travel down I-20 with a match against UT-Permian Basin. On Friday of next week ACU will return home to open LSC play as they host Midwestern State with a 4 p.m. kickoff.
