WICHITA FALLS – The Wildcat softball team dropped a pair of games at Midwestern State on Thursday afternoon. ACU was one-hit in the first game losing 6-0 while falling in the second game 10-5.

Fowlkes nailed a single that fit just inside the left field line scoring Sawyers, who reached via walk. Fowlkes and Anti would score on a Mustang error when they misplayed a pop up on the infield scoring the two Wildcats.
The Mustangs would respond in their half of the second as they added six runs on five hits. The inning was capped off by a MSU homerun to left giving the Mustangs back the lead. MSU would add three more runs, two in the third and one in the fourth which proved to be enough.
The Wildcats would threaten in the sixth when Melissa Mendoza recorded her eighth RBI scoring Caitlin Nabors who knocked a two out double to start the ACU rally. ACU's final run would come in the next at bat when Shawna Barrow recorded her second hit and team leading 11 RBI of the season on a single through the infield.
Barrow and Nabors both collected two hits for the Wildcats as both now have seven multi-hit games this season.
