SAN ANTONIO -- The 23rd-ranked ACU Wildcats split a pair of non-conference men's tennis matches Saturday, falling at NCAA Division I member Texas-San Antonio before rallying to edge St. Mary's later in the day.
The Wildcats fell to UTSA, 7-0, before coming back to beat the Rattlers, 5-4. ACU is 4-4 on the season.
In the afternoon match at St. Mary's, the Wildcats took two of three doubles matches to take an early lead and then won at Nos. 2, 3 and 4 singles to take the match victory. Each of ACU's three singles victories came in straight sets.
Earlier in the day, the Roadrunners took the doubles point to jump out to a 1-0 lead and then lost just one set to the Wildcats in six singles matches to take the victory. ACU did win one match against UTSA as
