ABILENE – The Wildcats picked up a tough win Monday night taking a 73-65 decision over Southeastern Oklahoma in Lone Star Conference Crossover action as ACU sank eight free throws in the final minute to seal the win.
Desmond Woodberry forced two turnovers in the final 20 seconds including a steal along the sideline in which he converted a three point play sinking his only free throw of the night to lock up the victory. Woodberry was outstanding in the final minutes finishing with 13 points but his seven steals sparked ACU down the stretch.
Both teams turned the ball over 20 plus times, but the Wildcats forced 17 while Southeastern only had nine steals.

Dosh Simms for an alley-oop putting ACU up 45-43. The dunk sparked the Wildcats as they stretched their lead to eight with 3:25 left in the game, but the Savage Storm would go on a 6-0 run to cut the ACU lead to two.
Southeastern would extend the foul count sending
Marcus Washington to the line three times in the final minute when Brandon Paul sank a deep three pointer to pull within two at 67-65. However, Woodberry would take over forcing two turnovers in the final 30 seconds pushing ACU to their second consecutive win and fourth in five games.
The Wildcats stand at 6-3 at the Christmas Break while they are idle until January 3 when they host Dallas Baptist. Tipoff from Moody Coliseum is set for 7 p.m. and admission for the New Year's first game is free for all fans.
