ACU Travels to UTPB

ABILENE – ACU men's basketball team returns to the hardwood Wednesday night for a non-conference match up with Texas-Permian Basin at the Falcon Dome in Odessa. The Wildcats are trying to sweep the season series with the Falcons after an 80-79 win in Abilene.

THIS WEEK:
The Wildcats return to the court after a week off of action. ACU will return to Moody Coliseum on Saturday for Lone Star Conference Crossover action with Texas A&M-Commerce in both team's first LSC action. The Wildcats are also trying to continue dominance over the Falcons tonight as they hold an 8-1 edge in the series.

 
LAST TIME OUT:
ACU picked up a 72-68 come from behind win against Dallas Christian last Monday. After a dismal first half from the field, the Wildcats hit 13 of 18 shots from the field in the second half and used an 8-0 run midway through the second half to take a 57-50 lead from which they never surrendered. The Crusaders got within three points of the lead at 71-68 when Isaac Gonzales hit two free throws with 1:51 remaining. However, neither team scored again until four seconds left when Richman was able to hit the second of two free throws to ensure the victory.
 
UP NEXT:
ACU will travel to Oklahoma for a pair of LSC Crossover games with North power Northeastern State and Central Oklahoma. It will be the last meeting with both schools as members of the Lone Star Conference as both will move to the MIAA next year.
