Wildcats Set for LSC Tournament

ABILENE – ACU enters the Lone Star Conference Tournament with their highest seed ever at No. 2.  The Wildcats will open second round play on Friday against either Angelo State or Texas A&M-Commerce.

This Weekend: The Wildcats are in search of their first post-season victory as they earned the No. 2 seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. ACU will face the winner of Angelo State/Texas A&M-Commerce on Friday evening with a chance to play in the programs first LSC Title game.
Last Time Out: ACU split a pair of games with Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Women's as they Wildcats clinched their highest spot in the LSC Tournament. A 1-0 loss to the Lions and a 3-2 win over the Pioneers gave the Wildcats the No. 2 seed in this weeks' tournament. Freshman Andrea Carpenter recorded a hat trick in the season finale in Denton finishing the regular season with 18 goals.
Up Next: The Wildcats control their post-season fate as a two wins would give ACU their first Conference Championship and first berth in the NCAA Tournament. ACU stands at No. 4 in the South Central Region, as the final results will be released Monday Nov. 8 on ncaa.com. The top 6 teams from each region earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
