AUSTIN ? Several of ACU's top track and field athletes will be competing at the 82nd annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays this weekend, led by decathlete Camille Vandendriessche. The ACU senior will be one of the favorites to win the decathlon championship at the annual meet in Austin.
Vandendriessche ? the two-time defending national champion in the decathlon ? is trying to qualify for next month's NCAA Division II outdoor championship meet, which will be in San Angelo (May 21-23). If Vandendriessche wins the national championship next month, he would become only the second athlete in NCAA history to win three straight national championships in the decathlon, and only the third athlete in NCAA history to win three national titles in the decathlon.
