ABILENE – The ACU men's and women's basketball teams return home Saturday for a LSC crossover contest with Central Oklahoma.  With finals out of the way the Wildcats return to Moody Coliseum after a two week absence.

However, both teams were in action at Texas A&M-Commerce as the men dropped a 67-79 decision and also fell to UT-Permian Basin on Monday in Odessa.  Although the women picked up wins at A&M-Commerce and on Monday at Texas Women's.

The men will be looking for their first win against Central Oklahoma since the 2003-04, which also means Coach Copeland will be trying for his first win vs. the Bronchos.  While the Wildcats sit at .500 fans have been treated with an impressive athletic squad.  Junior Giordan Cole has been a highlight with dunks around the basket as he leads the team in scoring and blocked shots.  The Wildcats have been led by four different scorers in the first eight games with Eddie Thompson, Dustin Heiman, and Cole all having the honor twice.

The ACU women are looking for their fifth consecutive win, but first in five tries against Central Oklahoma.  Coming off two wins where free throws have been a key has helped the Wildcats close games in the early going.  Led by Jamie Meyer who is shooting 85% from the free throw line, ACU as a team is shooting 72% which is ten percent below the nation's leaders.

Speaking of national leaders senior guard Kat Kundmueller is second in the country in assist per game averaging 7.3apg only behind Delta State's Bug Cooper.  While Kundmueller is continuing her pace the Meyer sisters are also among the national leaders as Jody Meyer is 5th in rebounding with 11.6rpg.  Jamie is currently 11th in scoring averaging 21.7 points per game.
