
Wildcats Impressive in 3-0 win

ABILENE – After a convincing win 3-0 over Texas A&M-Kingsville the Wildcats volleyball team looks poised to make a postseason run. The win also marks the 17th straight victory inside Moody Coliseum for ACU on Thursday night.
A team effort for the Wildcats (26-5, 11-1) that only had one player with double digit kills. Junior Jordan Schilling recorded 10 kills, 10 digs and two blocks leading all players in kills. Schilling also recorded six straight points where she tallied three aces against the Javelinas (17-11, 6-6).
ACU dominated the final set hitting .417 while holding TAMKU without a positive percentage. The Javelinas only set where they were positive was the second where they hit .056 and hit .021 in the game.
Junior Shawna Hines continued her solid play recording four blocks as she continues to lead the nation in blocks.
The Wildcats also honored three seniors as Erin Curry, Michelle Bacon and Lauren Leone will finish out their final home game on Saturday. Bacon and Leone are both on the Wildcats all-time blocks rankings tenth and sixth respectively.
Saturday the Wildcats will entertain Tarleton State for their final regular season game starting at 2 p.m.
