Wildcats add quartermiler
Murray adds transfer from Riverside College
ABILENE -- ACU head track and field coach Jon Murray announced on Thursday that he has added transfer Daniel Kincade for the 2004 season.
Kincade transfers to ACU from Riverside Community College (Calif.) where he was one of the state's top quartermilers. Kincade was a two-time Orange Empire Conference champion in the 400 meters, and also anchored on the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.
He helped his team win the conference track and field championship last spring, and won the 400 meters in a time of 48.9 seconds.
The ACU men's track and field team has won four straight NCAA Division II national track and field championships (indoor and outdoor titles in both 2002 and 2003), and could be favored to win both titles again in 2004.
