Earl Young is named the outstanding athlete and Abilene Christian is named outstanding team at the Texas Relays in Austin. Young anchors the Wildcats to three relay victories and they also capture the distance medley relay. The Wildcats match their own world record in the 880 relay in 1:22.6 and set a collegiate record of 3:07.9 in the mile relay.
