Lyla Jones joined the ACU athletics staff in June 2026 as the graduate assistant for track and field, cross country and volleyball academics. She earned her Bachelor's degree in criminal justice pre-law in May 2026 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she was a captain on the volleyball team. Jones was a member of the undergraduate mock-trial team, pre-law society and honors program and received the Dean of Students Honor Award.
Jones also competed in volleyball at Texas A&M International University and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. A native of Austin, Texas, Jones was secretary of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at UMKC and UAPB.
