Alisa Blair has made her first hire as Wildcats volleyball moves into a new era. Jeff Fiorenza joined the Wildcats coaching staff in January 2022 after spending the previous two seasons with the Roadrunners of UT San Antonio.
Prior to his time with UTSA, Jeff was a volunteer assistant with the highly successful University of Kentucky volleyball program. He spent two seasons with the Wildcats, 2018-2020, where he was a part of back-to-back SEC championships with UK going 47-10 overall and an impressive 34-2 in SEC play. The team also made two Sweet 16 appearances while Fiorenza was with the program. During his time in Lexington, Jeff created scouting reports for in-match use, helped the day-to-day operations for their team camps, and worked primarily with setters and attackers leading to a league-best .295 hitting percentage in 2019.

While with the Roadrunners, Firoenza served as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for UTSA. Fiorenza created scouting reports for in-game use, developed and expanded the team's recruiting base, and organized travel for the team in his two seasons. He also served as the Camp Director in 2021 and hosted satellite camps in Texas and throughout the Midwest."I'm more than excited to have Jeff join the Wildcat family. He brings a wealth of volleyball knowledge from his time at both Kentucky and UTSA that will be huge for our program. He is an intentional players coach and will bring great value to the gym." - Head coach Alisa Blair

"I'm grateful Coach Blair gave me the opportunity to come to Abilene Christian. I enjoyed my time at UTSA but I felt like this was a great opportunity to take the next step with a new program. Alisa has a great vision for Wildcat volleyball and I am looking forward to being a part of it." - Coach FiorenzaJeff graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 2018 with his degree in Marketing and Management.
