Returns for her second year and will be expected to provide depth at the outside hitter position. Spent the 2006 season as a redshirt. High school: A 10-time letterwinner in three sports in high school, Thompson enjoyed a fabulous volleyball career, playing three varsity seasons and joining the team for the state playoffs as a freshman. In her three seasons as a starter, Thompson's La Reina High School team was 29-1 in Tri-Valley League play and extended its streak of league championships to 14. As a senior she was second in the Tri-Valley League in kills (278) and first in digs (360, which was also fourth in the state). As a senior she was the La Reina HS Athlete of the Year and her team's Offensive MVP. She was a Tri-Valley all-League first team selection and first team all-state by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). She was also a Player of the Week selection during the season by the Ventura County Star, and was named all-tournament at the Team Royal Classic tournament and the San Luis Obispo Tournament. She was also a four-year letterwinner in softball, and was a four-time all-Tri-Valley League player as a shortstop. She was the team MVP and played on four league champions. As a goalie in soccer she earned three varsity letters. Personal: Her sister, Aimee, was a four-year starter on the Fresno State University soccer team, earning all-Western Athletic Conference honors. Another sister, Monica, played softball at Columbia University. Born 01 March 1988. 2006 graduate of La Reina High School.
