Biography

Lowry returns to lead the Wildcats in her senior season as the reining Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Year.  2006 (Junior):  Started all 29 matches at outside hitter for the Wildcats and also played in all 108 games.  She had double-digit kills in 27 matches and went above the 20-kill mark eight times, including a career-high 27 kills in an Oct. 12 match at Tarleton State.  Posted an impressive .425 hitting percentage in an Oct. 6 three-game match against Southwest Oklahoma State, where she finished with 20 kills.  She finished first in the LSC South with 475 kills, and also tallied 277 digs, 44 blocks and 24 service aces.  She was also voted the LSC South Division Academic Player of the Year. 2005 (Sophomore):  Voted second team all Lone Star Conference South Division after posting 363 kills and 128 digs, helping the Wildcats post the best season in program history.  In two wins at the LSC Post-Season Tournament, Lowry had 24 kills and three total blocks on her way to earning all-tournament honors.  In three matches at the NCAA Division II Southwest Region Tournament she had 36 kills and four total blocks.  She was also voted to the LSC Academic Commissioner’s Honor Roll.  She had double-digit kills in 19 matches during the season, including a season-best 20 in a Sept. 2 win over Concordia-St. Paul.  She had at least 15 kills in four other matches during the season, including 17 in a win over Central Missouri State in the championship game of the prestigious Premiere Challenge in Denver, Colo.  2004 (Freshman):  Racked up 229 kills and a .191 hitting percentage for the Wildcats and was voted honorable mention all-LSC South Division.  She finished with double figures in kills in 12 matches, including a season-high 20 in ACU’s NCAA Division II Southwest Regional Tournament loss to St. Edward’s.  She was the only Wildcat named to the regional all-tournament team.  She moved into the starting lineup for good on Oct. 21, and she responded with 15 kills in a loss at Eastern New Mexico.  However, ACUwas 8-1 in its last nine games with Lowry in the starting lineup.  She had 27 kills in two matches in the LSC Post-Season Tournament, which ACU won for the first time in program history.  High school:  Three-year letterwinner at Class 5A Flower Mound HS.  She was named the Newcomer of the Year in 2001 for District 6-5A, and twice earned first team all-district honors for District 7-5A in 2002 and 2003.  She was named to the all-Denton County second team in 2002.  As a senior she had 322 digs, 277 kills and 38 blocks.  In 2001 she lettered in track as a high jumper.  Personal:  Born 26 Jan 1986. 2004 graduate of Flower Mound High School.
