Wagner is expected to provide solid defense and shooting for the Wildcats after a stellar career at Ranger Junior College: 2005-06, 2006-07 (Ranger College): Wagner played shooting guard for two years at Ranger. He was the No. 17 scorer in the nation as a sophomore as he averaged 21 points per game. He also averaged 7.7 rebounds per game and he was voted first team all-conference as he led the conference in scoring. High school: A three-year letterwinner for coach Leo Jones at Arlington Lamar High School. During Wagner's senior year in 2003-04, he averaged 15 points-per-game to help Lamar finish 24-11 and end a 15-year playoff drought. He was the captain of Lamar's basketball team as well as a second-team all-district selection and an honorable mention all-region selection.
