Ragland is expected to provide a spark in the backcourt for the Wildcats after transferring from NCAA Division I Stephen F. Austin State University. He has one year of eligibility remaining. 2006-07 (Stephen F. Austin): Primarily played back-up point guard for the Lumberjacks. Ragland appeared in 19 games for SFA last year, averaging 1.8 points and 1.2 assists per contest. 2004-05, 2005-06 (Yavapai College): During his freshman year, Ragland averaged 14.1 points and 4.1 assists per game. He also recorded 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest to help lead Yavapai to a 17-13 record and a tie for third place in the 15-team Arizona Community College Athletic Conference. High School: Four-year letterwinner for coach John Romagnoli at A.B. Miller HS in Fontana, Calif. Ragland averaged 12 points and eight assists per game his senior year to help lead Miller HS to its first league championship in school history.
